Managing Your Canvas Layout
All right guys, so we're here in Editor X. As mentioned, this is one of the last videos. We've got two to three more covering the workspace module. As I mentioned, I decided to reinvent and re-imagine the training for this brand new editor and we're doing it in modules and workspaces.
The first module and the canvas from today's video that I'll be showing you is literally your workspace and what the canvas is, is it's this main design and development section. This is where all the action happens to manage your canvas.
What you can do is number one, you have the ability to switch between break points. As we learned and touched on break points in our last video on Wednesday, you can switch in between them. You'll notice that when you do this, it switches the entire canvas view. If you'd like to manage your canvas, what you can do is you can click one of these little gray lines next to the a canvas editor itself and you can resize it so that way you can see what your site will look like at different screen sizes.
Very similar to break points if you just switched in between break points, but this allows you to go ahead and manage your canvas, bringing it in and bringing it out, and as you can see throughout the entire time, it's completely responsive, right?
It completely responds to the size of the canvas that we are stretching into and still looks clean and crisp as a site and that's how you manage your canvas. I know that seems very straight forward in a very quick tip, but a lot of people are going to have the question about you know, how do I switch to canvas size or how do I manage the canvas and it's by dragging knees but also understanding that you can utilize the break points that you created to switch your canvas size and disk design and develop in that particular screen view, whether that's desktop, tablet, mobile, whatever that may be.
And that's how you manage the canvas. And the canvas is your literal design place where all the design and development happens. It's this right here where we can click on elements. It's what the elements on the screen look like and the ability to design and develop them.
CONCLUSION
So guys, I know those are very quick, easy, right to the point canvas lesson to end the week here on Friday.
